Whitening

Many people wish to brighten their smile.  This simple process is most effective with the application of a professional grade tooth bleaching paste that contains either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.  Although over-the-counter products are available, they are not be as concentrated as the products we offer in the dental office.  Results may vary depending on the natural color and cause of tooth discoloration. For instance, crowns and fillings and teeth that have become discolored due to medication cannot be whitened with bleaching products.  Some patients report tooth sensitivity after whitening treatments but this is usually temporary.  We help patients to achieve bright and beautiful smiles with “on-the-go” disposable bleaching kits or custom-fit bleaching trays that optimize the use of the bleaching solution and minimize irritation to the gums.

White Fillings

Composite (white) fillings are made of a tooth-colored plastic and glass mixture and are used to restore decayed teeth or to improve the appearance of discolored or disfigured teeth.  They are more aesthetic because their color can be matched to the surrounding teeth.

Veneers

Dental veneers (porcelain veneers or porcelain laminates) are used to improve the appearance of teeth.  Patients may like veneers if they seek to change the color, shape, size or length of their teeth.  They are thin shells made out of porcelain or resin that are bonded to the front surface of teeth.
